Natarajasana - Lord of the Dance Pose
Natarajasana (Dancer Pose or Lord of the Dance Pose) is a deep backbend that requires patience, focus, and persistence. The pose is named after the Hindu god Shiva Nataraja, King of the Dance, who finds bliss in the midst of destruction. Like its namesake, Lord of the Dance Pose embodies finding steadying calm within.
How To Do Natarajasana - Lord of the Dance Pose
Step 1 :
To begin with, stand in the Tadasana.
Step 2 :
Breathe in, and lift your left foot, such that the heel is placed towards the left buttock and your knees are bent.
Step 3 :
Breathe out ,left hand grip your left ankle.
Step 4 :
Begin to lift your left foot up, away from the floor and back, Extend the left thigh behind you and parallel to the floor. Your right arm must be stretched forward, such that it is parallel to the floor. Hold this pose for about 15 to 30 seconds or 10 to 15 breathings.
