Tokyo, Japan March 19 2023 – Patanjali Japan Foundation (PJF) successfully conducted the Asana: Psychological and Spiritual Value – Live & Interactive Session.
It includes the various frequently asked questions, and detailed discussion, Although Āsana is performed with body movement, it cannot be called Āsana if it’s performed without awareness of the mind. If you perform Asana with awareness, the benefits expand to psychological and even spiritual level.
The session was presented by Dhanashree Sensei and headed by Sara Sensei.

Anatomy and Physiology of Yogic Practices
The purpose of asana, or yogic practices, is to bring the body into a state of ease and balance. In order to do this, it is necessary to understand the anatomy and physiology of the body and how it responds to yogic practices.
The human body is made up of systems that work together to maintain homeostasis, or balance. The nervous system is responsible for sending signals between the brain and the body, while the endocrine system regulates hormones that affect mood, growth, and metabolism.
The muscular system allows us to move, while the skeletal system provides support and structure. The cardiovascular system circulates blood throughout the body, delivering oxygen and nutrients to cells. Finally, the respiratory system helps us breathe.
Each of these systems is affected by yogic practices in different ways. For example, asana can help improve circulation by massaging the internal organs and increasing blood flow. They can also help improve flexibility by lengthening muscles and stretching connective tissue. Additionally, asana can help reduce stress by stimulating the release of endorphins, which are hormones that have mood-boosting effects.
